Newark, a city in New Jersey, in the United States, hosted Bare Knuckle 95, a bare-knuckle boxing event. Of the 10 fights held at the Prudential Center on Saturday (17), seven ended with knockouts (two of them technical). This was not the case in the main fight of the night, between Americans Jamel Herring and John Dodson, who fought for the bantamweight belt. Defending the title, Herring benefited from the fact that he was 20 centimeters taller than his rival and avoided risks. Thus, he won by split decision from the judges.

With the bantamweight title retained, Herring will have Andrew Strode as his next opponent. Dodson, in turn, had already had five fights and suffered only the first defeat of his career at Bare Knuckle. He holds the bare-knuckle boxing organization's flyweight belt.
The winner of the “performance of the night” award was Brooke Evans. The American won the only women's fight on Saturday, knocking down Gabrielle Roman five times in two rounds. The victory came via technical knockout and was Brooke's second in the Bare Knuckle flyweight division.
Cole Cameron, Jimmie Rivera and Tony Soto were responsible for the “knockouts of the night”. The trio beat Phil Caracappa, Brandon Meyer and Anthony Pike, respectively.
