Randy Brown tem um novo adversário na luta co-principal do UFC Fight Night 292. Jacobe Smith entra em cima da hora para enfrentar Brown no peso meio-médio, em 31 de outubro, em Las Vegas, no Meta APEX.
Brown estava escalado contra Carlos Leal; uma lesão tirou Leal do card. Smith, com 13-0 no MMA e 4-0 no UFC, assume a vaga. O retrospecto de Brown é de 20-8 no MMA e 14-8 no UFC.
Relatos da imprensa trouxeram a mudança primeiro, e os dois lutadores confirmaram depois nas redes sociais.
Para Brown, será a segunda aparição no ano. Ele venceu Nicolas Dalby por interrupção no segundo round em abril passado, depois perdeu duas seguidas para Gabriel Bonfim e Kevin Holland, e agora busca uma vitória para interromper a queda.
Smith chega com a invencibilidade em jogo e um salto de nível pela frente, apenas dias depois de vencer Bruce Whitehead por interrupção no primeiro round no UFC 332, neste mês. As quatro vitórias dele no UFC foram por interrupção: três no primeiro round e uma no segundo.
