Sara Campos garantiu lugar entre as oito melhores do Mundial Sub-19 de boxe depois de três parciais favoráveis, duas delas com margem mínima. Nesta quarta-feira (21), a brasileira venceu a francesa Maely Panizzutti pela decisão dos juízes na categoria até 60 kg e manteve viva a chance de medalha em Budva, Montenegro.
No primeiro round, Sara recebeu nota 10 de três dos cinco juízes e fechou a parcial em 3 a 2. O segundo assalto repetiu o roteiro: J1, J2 e J3 deram vantagem a ela, J4 e J5 ficaram com a francesa, e o placar voltou a ser 3 a 2.
No assalto final, a brasileira foi superior para quatro dos cinco árbitros e confirmou a classificação.
Outros dois brasileiros venceram no dia. Nos 65 kg, Andrey Reis superou o mexicano Ivan Santoscoy por nocaute técnico: cresceu no segundo round, derrubou o rival três vezes e viu o árbitro interromper o combate. Nos 80 kg, Cláudio Santos bateu o indiano Lokesh Lokesh com atuação consistente ao longo dos rounds.
O torneio começou em 16 de outubro e vai até o dia 27, com dez categorias de peso no feminino e dez no masculino.
