Wawrinka draws Lehecka in Basel as Djokovic lands in his half
Stan Wawrinka, 41, opens against eighth seed Jiri Lehecka in Basel, the ATP 500 where he ends his career, and could meet Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the 32-man field. The Swiss won three Grand Slams, an Olympic doubles gold and reached No 3, while Ben Shelton is the top seed.

Aos 41 anos, o suíço se despede de uma carreira de mais de duas décadas que rendeu três Grand Slams, um ouro olímpico em duplas e um ranking máximo de número 3.
Ele entra com um convite no ATP 500, que começa na segunda-feira, e estreia contra o oitavo cabeça Jiri Lehecka, em um primeiro e último encontro entre os dois. A vitória levaria a um classificado ou lucky loser, com o cabeça 1 Ben Shelton na mesma metade. O cabeça 4 e velho rival Novak Djokovic está na mesma metade de Wawrinka no quadro de 32 jogadores, então uma semifinal entre eles é possível.
