São Bernardo beat Vila Nova 3-2 at the Primeiro de Maio to secure their Série B survival on 49 points in 11th. Rodrigo Ferreira equalised on 96 and Eduardo da Silva scored the third on 101, after Hayner's straight red on 59.

O São Bernardo assegurou de vez a vaga na Série B ao derrotar o Vila Nova por 3-2 no sábado, 24, no estádio Primeiro de Maio, num jogo decidido já nos acréscimos.
O placar começou movimentado: aos 2, Janderson abriu para o Vila Nova em jogada assistida por Higor Meritão; aos 6, Lucas Eduardo Lima da Silva empatou após passe de Fabrício Daniel. Os visitantes voltaram à frente aos 49, com Everton Galdino.
Tudo mudou aos 59, quando Hayner, do Vila Nova, recebeu vermelho direto. Com um a mais, o time de Vinícius Bergantin passou a mandar no jogo: 65% de posse, 579 passes contra 318, 16 finalizações (sete no alvo) contra 13 (cinco).
A pressão virou placar no fim: aos 96, Rodrigo Ferreira empatou de novo; aos 101, Eduardo da Silva Albuquerque fez o terceiro.
O São Bernardo chega a 49 pontos, é o 11º e fica matematicamente livre do rebaixamento, com três jogos a cumprir. O Vila Nova segue com 62, em segundo. Na próxima rodada, os paulistas recebem o Cuiabá no domingo, 01, e os goianos visitam o Juventude, no sábado, 31.
