O UFC volta ao Canadá para seu próximo evento numerado, o UFC 336, marcado para o Scotiabank Arena em Toronto em 30 de janeiro de 2027. Duas lutas de título foram confirmadas no topo do card, dando ao evento um par de disputas de cinturão na mesma noite.
Joshua Van e Manel Kape passaram mais de um ano trocando queixas sobre qual deles estava sendo evitado. Essa discussão finalmente tem prazo, porque os dois estão escalados como atração principal com o cinturão dos moscas em jogo. Van, campeão de 24 anos, já venceu Tatsuro Taira e Alexandre Pantoja, resultados que encerraram qualquer conversa sobre um reinado de sorte.
