What Matthews taught in 1956 about Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or race

Stanley Matthews won the first Ballon d'Or in 1956 at 41 without a club title, and that precedent frames Harry Kane's season: 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern Munich in a year without a dominant dynasty.
