O time de Los Angeles começou mal, perdendo o primeiro período por 47 a 29. A reação veio no braço do esloveno, que fechou a partida com duplo-duplo — 52 pontos e dez assistências — e ainda pegou oito rebotes.
O aproveitamento perto da cesta foi cirúrgico: nove acertos em 12 tentativas de dois pontos, 75%, que renderam 18 pontos. De longe, ele converteu oito das 18 tentativas de três e acertou dez lances livres.
