Fonseca drops 500 Basel points and falls to 40th, his worst ranking in over six months

João Fonseca fell to 40th in the ATP rankings, his lowest in more than six months, because he could not defend the 500 points from last year's Basel title. His total is 1,250 points and the next list, on 2 November, takes another 50.
