O jogador chegou para ganhar espaço e reencontrou Luis Zubeldía, com quem trabalhou no São Paulo, mas não emendou sequência como titular. Dorival ainda tentou contratá-lo para o Corinthians no começo de 2026; a negociação avançou e não se concretizou, e o atleta foi reintegrado antes do empréstimo.
