Gilbert admits coaching mistake and pays tribute to retiring Wawrinka

Brad Gilbert revealed he passed up the chance to coach Stan Wawrinka and used the Swiss player's retirement to admit what he called one of his own mistakes. Wawrinka, 41, ended his career in Basel on Tuesday with a 7-5 7-6(2) defeat by Jiri Lehecka in the opening round of the Swiss Indoors.
