A rodada desta quinta-feira no challenger 75 de Guayaquil terminou com o jogo do pernambucano João Lucas Reis interrompido pela chuva.
Ele enfrentava o equatoriano Emilio Camacho, convidado do torneio, e perdia por 6/4 e 4/3 nas oitavas quando a partida foi suspensa. A retomada está marcada para as 13h (de Brasília) desta sexta-feira, e quem avançar encara o argentino Camilo Carabelli, cabeça de chave número um do torneio e 75º do ranking.
Cabeça 5 na competição e no melhor ranking da carreira, o 186º, Reis vem de título em Antofagasta e soma seis vitórias seguidas. Com os resultados parciais, subiria para 180º; um novo triunfo pode render mais duas posições.
Outro jogo também parado pela chuva: Diego Hidalgo, do Equador, e o argentino Mariano Kestelboim venciam os brasileiros Luis Britto e Marcelo Zormann, que estavam atrás por 5/4, com retomada no mesmo horário.
