Adames (25-1-1, 18 nocautes) é o peso-médio número 1 do ranking da The Ring e volta menos de oito meses depois de uma terceira defesa de título dominante, contra Austin "Ammo" Williams. Nascido em Elías Piña, na República Dominicana, ele soma oito lutas sem derrota.
Warburton (18-2-2, 2 nocautes) reconstruiu a carreira em 2026 ao vencer nos pontos Nathan Heaney, ex-campeão britânico dos médios, em lutas consecutivas. O galês de 31 anos, de Colwyn Bay, é ele mesmo ex-campeão galês dos médios e já disputou os títulos britânico e da Commonwealth.
