WTA bars Quevedo from wearing black armband in tribute to Spain train crash victims
The WTA refused to let Kaitlin Quevedo wear a black armband in tribute to the 69 people killed in the train crash in Urda, Spain, on Wednesday (28). The 20-year-old, ranked 86th, beat Jil Teichmann 7/6 (7-2), 6/3 in the Guangzhou quarter-finals; the rule cited by the WTA dates from October 2024.
