Moicano makes weight and confirms the UFC Vegas 123 main event
The UFC Vegas 123 weigh-in ran smoothly on Friday (30), with 23 of the 24 fighters making weight. Renato Moicano hit 70.7 kg and Tom Nolan 70.5 kg to confirm the main event; only American Francis Marshall missed, at 67.1 kg against the 66 kg featherweight limit, and will be fined 20 per cent.

A pesagem do UFC Vegas 123, nesta sexta-feira (30) no Meta Apex, correu sem grandes sustos: dos 24 inscritos para o card deste sábado (31), 23 bateram o peso de suas categorias.
Renato Moicano e Tom Nolan confirmaram a luta principal. Nolan, primeiro a subir na balança, marcou 70,5 kg; Moicano, terceiro a se apresentar, registrou 70,7 kg, dentro da tolerância de uma libra extra permitida em lutas sem cinturão no peso-leve (70 kg).
Outros quatro brasileiros passaram sem problemas. Luana Santos, do card principal, bateu 61,7 kg contra os 61,4 kg da russa Yana Santos. No card preliminar, Tainara Lisboa marcou 56,7 kg na estreia no peso-mosca, diante dos 56,9 kg da eslovaca Lucia Szabova; e os meio-médios Rodrigo Sezinando e Theodor Berggren cravaram 77,3 kg e 77,5 kg.
Quase no fim, Talita Alencar precisou do biombo para ficar dentro do limite dos palhas (52 kg): sem roupa, bateu 52,6 kg e confirmou o duelo com Piera Rodriguez, da Venezuela, que marcou 52,3 kg.
Um único atleta furou a balança. O americano Francis Marshall marcou 67,1 kg, duas libras (cerca de 900 gramas) acima do limite dos penas (66 kg) em luta sem cinturão; o duelo com Dakota Hope segue no card, com multa de 20% aplicada ao infrator.
