Fritz's Basel defeat leaves Turin hopes in serious trouble

Taylor Fritz fell in the Basel semi-finals, 7-6(5), 6-3 to Valentin Vacherot, and saw his chances of reaching the ATP Finals in Turin take a serious hit. The 200 points he collected leave him 12th in the Race on 2,885, 325 behind ninth-placed Alex de Minaur.
