Mirassol has one of its main weapons in Maião in the fight against relegation in the Brazilian Championship. So much so that the club won practically three quarters (72%) of its points in this Series A playing at home: 26 of the 36.

Since debuting in Série A, in 2025, the team led by Rafael Guanaes has built a positive record in front of the fans and transformed the stadium into a true melting pot. So far, in its two seasons in the national elite, it has only been defeated at home four times - all of them this year.

The best home performance came in the club's debut season in the elite. In 2025, the yellow and green team finished the Brasileirão undefeated in Maião, with 12 wins and seven draws in 19 matches. Scoring 75% of the points at home was one of the highlights of the campaign that took the club directly to the group stage of this year's Libertadores.

The positive streak, however, was interrupted this season. In 2026, Leão suffered four defeats so far in Series A.

The first setback occurred in the seventh round, 1-0 against Coritiba. In the tenth round, Mirassol lost again by the minimum score, this time to Red Bull Bragantino. In the next game, Bahia won 2-1 at Maião.

The most painful defeat, however, came in the 23rd round: 5-1 to Flamengo in Leão's worst result so far in the national elite.

With a more favorable performance at home, Mirassol is betting mainly on the three remaining commitments in Maião in the fight against relegation. If they win all of them, in fact, Leão will reach the 45-point mark - considered the "magic score" to avoid falling - regardless of the results in the other four away games.
