Ballon d'Or 2026: why this is one of the most open races in years
The 2026 Ballon d'Or is handed out on Monday in London with no clear favourite among the 30 nominees. Kane arrives with 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern, Yamal with 24 goals and 17 assists, and recent editions were tight: 613 to 580 in 2021 and 1,170 to 1,129 in 2024.
