Asseyi: from a childhood dream of Zidane to West Ham vice-captain

West Ham forward Viviane Asseyi said her dream of playing football began at the 1998 World Cup, when she watched France beat Brazil and asked her mother for a ball. She now has 117 appearances for the club, closing on the WSL-era mark of 130.

Eu quero jogar futebol. Eu quero ser como o [Zinedine] Zidane.’”

A família achou graça.

Naquela geração ela conheceu Alphonse Areola, hoje companheiro no West Ham, e Raphael Guerreiro.
