Haaland could set an unflattering record against Brighton
Erling Haaland has scored in the last four meetings with Brighton but Manchester City won none of them; if he scores again and they drop points, he would be the first in English league history to net in five straight games against the same opponent without winning. Erling Haaland costuma colecionar marcas desde que chegou ao Manchester City. Neste sábado, às 12h (de Brasília), diante do Brighton, ele pode firmar uma bem menos honrosa — justamente contra um rival a quem costuma marcar.
Contra os Seagulls, são sete jogos e sete gols na Premier League; nos quatro últimos encontros, ele balançou as redes em todos. Só que o City não ganhou nenhum: dois empates e duas derrotas.
Se marcar de novo e a equipe de Enzo Maresca repetir empate ou derrota, o norueguês será o primeiro na história do Inglês a balançar as redes em cinco jogos seguidos contra o mesmo adversário sem vencer nenhum. Em casa o retrospecto é curioso: gols nos quatro jogos de Premier League contra o Brighton no Etihad.
A fase também é forte: 13 gols em 11 jogos na temporada, nove deles em oito partidas do Inglês, o que o devolve à artilharia. Antes, já havia marcado contra todos os 25 rivais que enfrentou na liga.
