A red card for Jean-Philippe Mateta after 13 minutes sent Crystal Palace to a third straight league defeat and left Pierre Sage's position hanging by a thread. Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke scored as Tottenham won three in a row for the first time in 616 days and moved into the top half.
