Why Colton Herta is still one superlicence point short of an F1 seat
Colton Herta covered more than 100km in first practice for the Mexico Grand Prix but remains one point short of the 40 needed for a superlicence: he has 39, because the FIA confirmed seventh place in IndyCar in 2025, which pays four points, rather than sixth. One more practice session closes the gap.
