George Russell: 2026 has been a test of “character and resilience”

Mercedes driver George Russell says the 2026 Formula 1 season has been a test of character after a title bid that began with a win turned into a fight with his own driving: he was 70 points behind and cut the gap to 25 after Silverstone before the deficit widened again.
